Lost screening eats

Lost party eats

A couple of years ago some friends and I decided that the ONLY way to watch LOST was together. Family style. The show was just too intense and debate worthy that we grew tired of ‘texting’ each other during the commercial breaks. Thus ‘Lost Night’s’ were born! Every Wednesday at 9pm the door bell would start ringing and a flood of friends, and sometimes strangers they dragged along, would descend upon my living room to the hushed silence of an hour of tv watching followed by much theorising. Alas, the LOST parties are no more, but the memories of the great food we had still stands. I would experiment with treats I’d seen online and others would bring goodies. Above is a round up of some of the goodies we munched on.

1. Home made Guac with chilli peppers and organic tortilla chips, 2. Trader Joes Guac kit (gifted!), 3. Homemade Mozzorella drizzed with chilli/garlic olive oil and topped with crushed pepper and salt. 4. Trader Joe’s ‘Pound Plus’ Milk Chocolate with whole almonds, 5. Trotski and Ash’s brown sugar pecan biscuits. 6. Target’s Archer Farm Lemon soda (served in Anthropologies Ruffian Mise en Scene glasses). 7. Doritos (!!) and coconut caramel pieces bought in Australia. 8. A baked raspberry brie by Ary..yum! and finally, 9. Vegan Chocolat Chaud by Shakshuka.

The gastro-memories of these nights are still strong..now to find another show that will get everyone running down my door any given night!
